Embattled Budalang’i legislator Ababu Namwamba will shield his seat in 2017 on a ticket of Labour Party of Kenya, which he will divulge on Thursday.
The MP quit his secretary general position two months ago over harassments and lack of democracy in ODM.
He later rebranded Labour Party of Kenya which was originally headed by former Butula Member of Parliament Julia Ojiambo in Nairobi.
‘The Labour Party of Kenya has completed a historic three-month process of rebranding and strengthening of its leadership,’ read a confidential letter signed by party secretary general Peter Kubebea.
‘We will soon be inviting expressions of interest from potential aspirants for all elective positions in the 2017 general elections,’ the secretary general added in a letter seen by The Star.
