There are jitters in CORD coalition as the three principlas cannot agree on who will flag bear the presidential ticket come 2017.
Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula want the lead and want to be backed by the other principals in a bid to dethrone Uhuru.
In what has seemingly believed to cause divergence, Kalonzo’s party members have ultimately given Raila up to December to declare Kalonzo the next CORD presidential candidate.
On the other hand, ODM members have endorsed Raila with Ford Kenya members backing Wetangula for the top most position in the country.
Kalonzo has of recent been having an upshot with his close member Johnston Muthama who has reportedly been blamed to supporting Raila’s presidential bid.
It has now appeared that days after the unexpected, Raila clandestinely invited Muthama and Orengo to his Karen home at night to deliberate the mounting dissonance in CORD.
According to The Standard, the meeting took place on the night of Monday at Raila’s residence in Karen.
‘We met and consulted on various issues including possible scenarios that would confront CORD should we have Raila or Kalonzo as the flag bearer. Elections will not be easy and we must have the best bet,’ he was quoted by The Standard.
This is likely to cause further qualms among Wiper supporters that indeed Muthama is strong-minded to ensure Raila gets the ticket.
