Mt Kenya region leaders are up in arms with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga over what they term as “dividing the region”.
The leaders claim Odinga has been using the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) to impose leaders on people from the region thereby fuelling disunity.
They said that Odinga who has hijacked the initiative to pursue personal interests has also contributed to fanning of ethnicity during the rallies.
Led by former Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri, outspoken MP for Gatundu Moses Kuria, the leaders also accused Odinga for blocking leaders affiliated to Deputy President William Ruto from addressing Kenyans during the rallies.
They promised to make it hard for Odinga and his supporters during the planned Nakuru BBI rally.
They made the remarks at Kinamba in Laikipia West Constituency even as Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri in a press briefing vowed to disrupt the meeting should he be excluded in the organisation.
