Former Athletics Kenya boss Isaiah Kiplagat has passed on at the age of 72 while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
According to the family, the previous athletics boss has been ill for a while with the family unveiling that he died on his way to the hospital.
Reports further reveal that the former boss has been grappling out with cancer. Kiplagat was previously suspended by the IAAF after he and two others David Okeyo and Joseph Kinyua , were blamed for engaging in anti-doping deals and unlawfully stealing Nike funds.
The boss was also accused of being bribed with two vehicles from Qatar Association of Athletics in his quest to appeal that Kenya hosts 2019 World Championships.
