Two Kenyan athletes will join their counterparts in the 1500m finals slated to happen on Saturday at 3:00 am.
Asbel Kiprop who is the race world champion and Ronald Kwemoi reserved their places the finals by winning their respective semifinal heats.
Elijah Manangoi was however withdrawn hours to the race following an injury he suffered during the heats.
He appeared to have dragged his left constrain during the heats on Monday and despite continuing from the heats he was perceptibly worried by his condition.
The energetic racer had taken his place in the semis by recording a time of 3:46.83 to complete the race second in a heat that was won by shielding champion Taoufik Makhloufi of Algeria clocking 3:46.82 minutes.
Notwithstanding of the impediment, the Kenyan finalists Kiprop and Kwemoi elevated the spirits of Kenyans by fortifying their places in the finals without much distress.
